Beginners: Beginners start with our Pendant project. Making the pendant will take you through several jewellery making techniques such as soldering, piercing (cutting out silver using a saw), oxidising, granulation, texturing, gold leaf, and jump ring making which sets you up ready to embark on designing and making your own wide range of projects whether it be bangle, ring, cufflink making etc. You will design your own pendant and with close assistance create your design using the new techniques you have learnt. We have a lovely learning environment with students with a range of experience, we all share ideas and assist each other during projects. It is a great supportive atmosphere for those starting out.

Regulars: Those with experience are able to design and make their own projects with assistance as and when needed. We have a range of equipment to create your designs. Whether you want to make gifts, refine a particular skill, or develop ideas to create your own business, our Thursday night sessions provide a great creative atmosphere where we share ideas and tips, and make a wide range of unique pieces.

“With Kirsten you get to cut, hammer, solder, polish and actually make silver jewellery, learning alongside a friendly, highly skilled silversmith. Kirsten is approachable and supportive about ideas and individual projects and is generous with her knowledge! Her classes always fly by in an atmosphere of good humour and creativity. What’s not to like!!”

Linda, West End Centre, Aldershot

“Hi Kirsten, just to say how much I have enjoyed the last 3 courses with you they have really helped me gain confidence and feel inspired to do more. Hope to do some more courses with you, in the future.”

Ruth, Surrey Jewellery School

“I very much enjoyed learning how to make silver bangles with Kirsten. She gave me all the attention I needed to get the best possible outcome and made me feel completely at ease.”

B Grammel, One to One Bangle Making Class

“I attended Kirsten’s new workshop at her workshop. She was very warm and welcoming, patient and nothing was to much trouble. I came along with ideas of what I wanted to learn and then we set out a plan of action. I learnt so much in that time and interest and enthusiasm grew. I am now building my own workshop in my garden. I still have so many techniques to learn and Kirsten is a fab teacher.”

Angie, One to One Flexi Classes
